I just wrote the title of this post and now I am feeling the pressure! It is the first post ya know. I feel like it needs to be something big and loud...with streamers and chocolate. ;)
So, here it goes....
I bet you are you wondering about the name of my blog? Well, let me backtrack for a minute. I love, loved, and really love the name of my "old" blog Hannah's Song. It was perfect for my blog and really has a tender place in my heart. I knew that I had to come up with a name for this blog and man, it was HARD! It ranks a close 2nd to trying to come up with a name for a child. Well, maybe not that hard, but pretty darn hard I tell ya. After I got over the pressure I was putting on myself to come up with the perfect blog name, it actually came to my mind easily. If you have ever been to my house and know me in-person you would notice I am always wearing slippers...even in the summer. :) I simply just don't like being barefooted. My feet hurt when I don't wear something on them. Maybe it is my baby-size feet that just can't hold my vertically challenged height of all of 5 ft and 1/2?! I really am not sure, but I sure do know my feet like to be covered. So, having Slippers in the title seemed like a good thing. Then add the fact that I live the state that Dorothy comes from, it just made sense! I love slippers and I love being home. So, was born...
