Happy V-Day Ya'll

Hey Friends!

I hope you are off to a great V-day! Honestly, I used to dread this holiday because I never had a boyfriend on Valentine's Day. Before my husband, I think I only had one "sweetheart" and he turned out to not have a sweet heart (but that's a story never to be told!). As I have gotten older and a tad wiser, I have come to really appreciate the holiday. Sure, the holiday is commercialized to make you think it is only about a love between sweethearts, but I really don't see it that way anymore. I think my friend, Rachel really opened my eyes to this when I went to her annual Valentine's party. I went shortly after a break-up, so I was pretty down and out. Rachel's idea of Valentine's Day is about loving others. Do you love your friends? Do you love your family? Well, then you have a great reason to celebrate! Of, course if you have a sweetheart then it is like a 'cherry on top!'

Let's take a minute and think about V-day in a different light...in HIS light. As more time has gone by and I experience more V-days, I really think about the love of Jesus because He IS love...the best of all!

But anyone who does not love does not know God, for God is love.
1 John 4:8
